This was a personal piece I was working on this fall.  I wanted to create a "sea" of undulating, visually linked bodies that were highlighted by shafts of bright, desert light.  You can see how the figures and the light change from the initial sketch to the final colored version.

Monkey Steals the Fruit process

Here are some process shots of one of my recent drawings.  In the sketch, I was trying to visually connect the monkeys, not worrying too much about what they would look like.  I had done a sketch for a client of a panther a few months ago which we didn't end up using.  I liked the pose, though, and trotted it out, with some modifications for this first drawing of the fruit monkey.
